This alcohol drink calculator helps you estimate how much pure alcohol you consumed, how many standard drinks that equals, and your rough BAC level based on body weight, biological sex, and time drinking. It is designed for awareness and planning, not for medical or legal decisions.

Many people underestimate intake when drink sizes change. A large IPA, a strong cocktail, and a generous wine pour can differ a lot from a “standard drink.” This tool converts everything into pure alcohol grams so comparisons are easier.

Formula overview

1) Pure alcohol grams

For each drink type:
grams = quantity × serving size (ml) × ABV × 0.789

Here, ABV is expressed as a decimal (for example, 5% = 0.05), and 0.789 g/ml is the density of ethanol.

2) Standard drinks

Different countries define a standard drink differently. This page reports multiple formats so you can interpret results in the system you use.

3) Estimated BAC

BAC is estimated from total grams, body weight, and a body-water distribution factor. Then an average metabolic reduction rate of 0.015% BAC per hour is applied from the time since your first drink.
