Apex Pack Calculator & Heirloom Tracker
Use this tool to estimate your total Apex Packs opened and your progress toward the 500-pack heirloom pity guarantee.
1) Estimate total packs opened
This calculator uses the known level 1–500 pack progression exactly. If you are over level 500, add extra level-pack rewards manually below.
2) Heirloom pity progress
If you're hunting heirloom shards in Apex Legends, tracking your Apex Pack count can save you a lot of guesswork. This page gives you a practical apex pack calculator that estimates total packs opened, then shows your pity progress toward the guaranteed heirloom drop.
What this Apex Pack Calculator does
This tool helps with two separate but related questions:
- Total pack estimate: Adds up level-based packs plus purchased and event packs.
- Heirloom progress: Estimates how close you are to the 500-pack pity guarantee.
Because most players don’t have a complete historical log, the calculator is designed to be flexible: you can enter known values and improve the estimate over time.
How level-based packs are counted
The level progression for levels 1–500 is implemented using the widely used pack schedule:
- Levels 2–20: 1 pack per level
- Levels 22–300: 1 pack every 2 levels
- Levels 305–500: 1 pack every 5 levels
That totals 199 packs by level 500. For accounts above level 500, progression systems changed over time, so this page includes an “extra level packs” field so you can manually account for prestige-era rewards.
Understanding heirloom pity and drop odds
Pity guarantee basics
Apex includes a hard pity system for heirloom shards: if you do not receive shards earlier, you are guaranteed shards by your 500th eligible pack in a cycle.
What this means in practice
- If you are 420 packs into a cycle, your guarantee is in 80 packs.
- If you open at least the remaining pity packs, your chance is effectively 100%.
- If you open fewer than the remaining pity packs, your chance is estimated probabilistically.
Where players usually forget packs
Most underestimates come from missed sources. Before trusting your result, check these:
- Battle pass premium/free track pack rewards from past seasons
- Event reward tracks and anniversary freebies
- Bundle packs included with store offers
- Platform perks or temporary promotional grants
Tips for more accurate tracking
Start a simple log today
Even a short note on your phone helps. Record date, packs opened, and whether shards dropped. Over a few weeks, your estimate becomes much more reliable.
Track by cycle, not lifetime only
Once shards drop, your pity counter resets. The most useful metric is usually packs since last heirloom, not lifetime packs across the whole account.
FAQ
Is this an official EA/Respawn calculator?
No. This is an independent estimation tool meant for planning and tracking.
Can I be above 500 packs without shards?
Under normal pity behavior, you should receive shards by 500 eligible packs in a cycle. If your numbers suggest otherwise, your input history is likely missing pack sources or a prior shard drop reset.
Does this guarantee future drop timing exactly?
No. The pity guarantee is deterministic at the cap, but pre-pity drops are probabilistic. Use the result as guidance, not a promise.
Bottom line: this apex pack calculator gives you a clear estimate, helps avoid bad assumptions, and makes it easier to plan whether to keep opening packs now or wait for an event.
