ARK Dino Stats Calculator
Estimate wild stat points from observed creature stats. Best used on untamed or freshly tamed dinos with no level-ups spent.
How this ARK dino stats calculator works
In ARK: Survival Evolved and ARK: Survival Ascended, each creature has hidden stat points assigned at spawn. Those points control how much Health, Stamina, Weight, Melee Damage, and other values the dino gets before you ever level it. This calculator helps you estimate those hidden wild points from the numbers you can see in-game.
The tool uses species-specific base stats and per-level gains. After you enter observed values, it back-calculates likely point counts and gives you an estimated wild level. This is useful for breeding projects, boss lines, and deciding whether a tame is worth keeping.
Step-by-step usage
- Select your creature preset (for example, Rex or Yutyrannus).
- Set your server wild stat multiplier (1.0 on most official-like settings).
- Enter the dino’s observed stats from your inventory panel.
- Click Estimate Wild Points to see the breakdown.
When to enter stats
For best accuracy, enter stats from an untamed wild creature or a freshly tamed creature before any manual level-ups are spent. If imprinting, mutations, or custom server modifiers are involved, your result may drift from the true hidden values.
What the results mean
The calculator shows a point estimate per stat, then sums those points to predict total wild level. A higher number in important combat stats (especially Health and Melee for many lines) usually means stronger breeding value.
If the error column is large across multiple stats, that typically means one of the following:
- The dino has post-tame level points already spent.
- Your server multipliers differ from default assumptions.
- The creature has mutation effects that shift expected values.
- Stat rounding in the UI is masking exact internal values.
Breeding and progression tips
1) Prioritize stat goals per role
Not every line needs every stat. Boss fighters may prioritize Health/Melee, while utility flyers may focus Weight/Stamina. Define your target before you start stacking mutations.
2) Keep clean breeders
Maintain a clean baseline pair with zero mutation counters, then branch into specialized lines. This keeps your mutation management simpler and reduces confusion over inherited stats.
3) Track numbers outside the game
Whether you use spreadsheets, notes, or breeding planners, logging stat points after each generation saves massive time. The strongest tribes are usually the most organized tribes.
Important limitations
This page is an estimation tool and not an official ARK data source. Different maps, mods, unofficial server settings, and post-release balance patches can alter exact stat behavior. Treat the output as a practical estimate, then validate with your own breeding and testing workflow.
Quick FAQ
Does this work for ARK Survival Ascended?
Yes, as a practical estimate. Always verify against your current patch and server settings.
Why is my estimated level different from in-game?
Usually because of spent level points, server multipliers, mutation effects, or UI rounding differences.
Can I use this for perfect tame evaluation?
Yes. It is especially useful right after taming to compare candidates and keep only the best stat distributions.
