How to use this astro transits calculator
This tool is designed for quick transit checks when you already have planetary longitudes from your astrology software, ephemeris, or chart app. You enter a natal longitude (for example natal Sun, Moon, Ascendant, Venus, etc.) and a transit longitude (for example transiting Saturn right now), then the calculator finds the nearest aspect and tells you whether it falls within your selected orb.

Aspect reference used by the calculator
The calculator checks common aspects used in modern transit analysis:

- Square (90°): pressure, friction, turning points

Practical interpretation tips
1) Start with the transiting planet
Each planet has a different tempo. Fast movers (Moon, Mercury, Venus, Sun, Mars) can trigger events or moods quickly, while slower planets (Jupiter through Pluto) often describe longer life phases. A conjunction from transiting Saturn will feel very different from a conjunction from transiting Venus.
2) Then evaluate the natal point
A transit to the natal Moon tends to show emotional, domestic, or caregiving themes. A transit to natal Mars often affects drive, conflict style, and physical energy. A transit to the Ascendant may be visible in identity, body, direction, and self-presentation.
3) Use orb intentionally
Tighter orb (0.5° to 1.5°) is best for precision timing. Wider orb (2° to 3°+) can help detect the beginning and ending envelope of influence. Not every astrologer uses the same orb, so treat the setting as a deliberate lens rather than a fixed rule.

- Look at the natal house of the contacted point.
- Look at the transiting planet's current house.
- Track repeat hits if the planet goes retrograde.
That sequence turns a simple angle into a much richer interpretation.
Limitations (important)
This calculator is intentionally lightweight and manual. It does not calculate planetary positions from date, time, and location by itself, and it does not replace a full chart program. Instead, it helps you quickly analyze transit geometry once you already know the longitudes.
Astrology can be meaningful for reflection, planning, and pattern awareness, but it should not replace medical, legal, or financial advice.
Quick example
If your natal Venus is at 15° Taurus (45° zodiac longitude) and transiting Saturn is at 15° Pisces (345° longitude), the separation is 60°, which is an exact sextile. With a 2° orb, that transit is fully active and often corresponds with practical support, commitment, and constructive structure in Venus themes (relationships, values, money, beauty, connection).
