3) From LMP
With LMP, conception is estimated near ovulation. Ovulation is often approximated as:
- Cycle length - 14 days after the first day of LMP
For a 28-day cycle, that points to around day 14. For a 32-day cycle, around day 18.

Even with excellent records, conception is normally estimated within a small window. Reasons include:
