What is a birth chart house?
In astrology, houses describe where life themes show up. If planets are the actors and zodiac signs are the costumes, houses are the stages. A birth chart has 12 houses, each connected to a major life area: identity, money, communication, home, creativity, work, relationships, shared resources, beliefs, career, community, and inner healing.
How this birth chart houses calculator works
This calculator takes your birth date, local birth time, UTC offset, and location coordinates. It calculates local sidereal time, derives your Ascendant, and then generates house cusps with your selected house system.
- Equal House: House 1 starts at the exact Ascendant degree; each next house begins 30° later.
- Whole Sign: House 1 begins at 0° of the sign containing the Ascendant; each following house is the next full sign.

- Use the most accurate birth time available (even a 10-minute difference can shift cusps).
- Confirm UTC offset for your birthplace and date, including daylight saving time.
