How this BTD6 paragon calculator works

A paragon’s final degree is based on the total power you feed into the merge. The game tracks several contribution buckets: pops, cash invested, upgrade count, extra Tier 5s (mostly co-op), and totems. This calculator turns your inputs into power, applies per-source caps, then converts that power into an estimated degree from 1 to 100.

Power sources used by this calculator

  • Pops contribution: up to 16,200,000 pops.
  • Cash contribution: up to 250,000 spent on sacrificed non-T5 towers.
  • Upgrade contribution: up to 100 total Tier 1-4 upgrades on sacrificed towers.
  • Extra T5 contribution: up to 9 extra Tier 5 towers (above the required 3).
  • Totem contribution: 2,000 power per totem (with a 100-totem planning cap in this tool).

Why caps matter

Once a source reaches its cap, adding more in that category no longer helps. For example, if your pops are already capped, it is usually better to improve another category such as upgrades, cash investment, or totems.

Quick strategy tips for higher paragon degree

  • Farm pops early on towers you know you will sacrifice.
  • Use many cheap Tier 1-4 upgrades to efficiently fill the upgrade cap.
  • Plan sacrifice cash deliberately rather than overspending after hitting cap.
  • In co-op, coordinate extra Tier 5 sacrifices for a major power jump.
  • If using Geraldo, stack totems in advance for flexible late-game degree boosts.

What degree should you aim for?

For most boss and freeplay goals, degree 40-60 is often enough for consistency. Degree 70-80 gives a much stronger power spike, and degree 100 is the premium target when your economy and setup are fully optimized. Use this calculator to find the cheapest path to your target instead of guessing.

FAQ

Is this exact to every patch?

It is an estimate model designed for practical planning. It is very useful for comparing setups, identifying capped categories, and deciding where your next investment should go.

Does this support all paragons?

Yes. The core degree mechanics are shared. Individual paragons can have unique combat performance, but the degree planning logic is the same.

Can I use this in co-op planning?

Absolutely. Enter extra Tier 5 sacrifices and totems to see how much they push your estimated degree before you commit resources.
