Epic Seven Damage Calculator
Enter your hero and target stats to estimate single-hit and multi-hit damage. This uses a simplified, practical formula for quick build comparisons.
How to use this Epic Seven damage calculator
This calculator is designed for one thing: helping you compare builds quickly. If you are deciding between more Attack, more Critical Damage, or more Defense Penetration, run each setup and compare the final damage output. You can also simulate common PvP conditions like defense break, attack buff, and enemy mitigation.
What to enter first
- Attack (ATK): your final in-battle ATK before skill multipliers are applied.
- Skill Multiplier: the scaling value for your chosen skill (example: 1.0, 1.2, 0.85).
- Critical Damage: your character’s crit damage percent, such as 250% or 300%.
- Target Defense: estimated enemy DEF, commonly between 1000 and 1800 in many modes.
Damage formula used on this page
The calculator uses a practical simplified model:
Final Damage = Base Damage × Buffs × Crit × Element × Defense Mitigation × Target Reduction × Number of Hits
Where defense mitigation is calculated using: 300 / (Effective DEF + 300). Effective DEF is adjusted by defense break and defense penetration. This is accurate enough for build planning, and especially useful when comparing relative gains.
Why simplified math is still useful
Epic Seven has many hidden or context-specific modifiers (artifacts, passives, conditional skill text, barrier interactions, and mode-specific rules). For optimization, what matters most is consistent comparison. A consistent calculator gives better decisions than guessing.
Build optimization tips
1) Don’t tunnel on one stat
Stacking only ATK or only crit damage can look great on paper but underperform in real battles. Most damage dealers perform best with balanced ATK, crit chance, crit damage, speed, and enough effectiveness or bulk for their role.
2) Test with and without setup
Toggle defense break and attack buff on/off. If your unit only one-shots with perfect setup, the build may fail in live PvP when drafts get disrupted.
3) Model real targets
- For squishy units, test around 900–1200 DEF.
- For bruisers, test around 1300–1700 DEF.
- For tanks, test 1800+ DEF with damage reduction effects.
Example scenario
Suppose your nuker has 3500 ATK, 280% crit damage, and a 1.0 skill multiplier. You attack a 1400 DEF target with attack buff and no defense penetration. Then compare that to the same build with 20% defense penetration. You’ll often find penetration becomes much stronger versus high-defense targets.
Common mistakes players make
- Using hero screen stats but forgetting in-battle buffs/debuffs.
- Ignoring target-side damage reduction effects.
- Comparing gear without normalizing crit chance consistency.
- Assuming PvE boss values are the same as PvP targets.
- Testing only one enemy profile and overfitting builds.
Frequently asked questions
Does this replace full simulation tools?
No. It is a fast, transparent estimator intended for build decisions and rough planning.
Can I use this for cleave and multi-hit skills?
Yes. Set Number of Hits to match the skill. If each hit has different scaling, run multiple calculations and add the values manually.
What about artifacts and unique passives?
Add known percentage boosts into Damage Increase Effects (%). For unique mechanics, treat this calculator as a baseline and compare relative outcomes.
