If you farm Wyvern, Banshee, Azimanak, and Caides every week, you already know the hardest part of Epic Seven is not getting gear — it is deciding which gear is worth keeping. This calculator helps you evaluate a piece quickly by generating a Gear Score (GS), a projected +15 value, and a build-fit score for common hero archetypes.
Epic Seven Gear Score Calculator
Enter the substats of one item. Flat ATK/HP/DEF are converted into % value if base stats are provided.
How this Epic Seven gear calculator works
Most players use a weighted Gear Score formula so different substats can be compared on one scale. This tool uses a common community weighting model:
- Speed × 2.0
- Crit Chance × 1.6
- Crit Damage × 1.14
- ATK% / HP% / DEF% / Effectiveness / Effect Resistance × 1.0
- Flat ATK/HP/DEF converted to % using your hero base stats (if entered)
The result is not an official in-game value, but it gives a fast and practical benchmark for inventory decisions.
What counts as a “good” gear score?
General GS checkpoints
- 40–49 GS: Early game usable, often temporary.
- 50–59 GS: Solid progression gear for PvE and entry PvP.
- 60–69 GS: Strong gear; often worth extracting and moving around.
- 70+ GS: Endgame quality on the right set and right stats.
- 80+ GS: Premium piece, usually heavily contested between heroes.
Context matters more than raw score
A 58 GS piece with perfect speed and effectiveness can outperform a 66 GS piece on a control unit. Likewise, bruisers may prefer HP%, DEF%, and speed over pure offensive values. Always evaluate score together with set type, main stat, and hero role.
Projected +15 and reforged value
The calculator estimates future value using remaining enhancement rolls. This helps answer the classic question: “Should I keep rolling this or sell now?”
- Remaining rolls are estimated from current enhancement level.
- Projected value assumes average roll quality.
- Reforged toggle adds typical post-reforge gain to final projection.
Use this projection as a decision aid, not a guarantee. Real RNG can be much better or worse.
Build-fit scoring for faster filtering
In addition to total GS, the calculator gives a build-fit score for one of five archetypes:
- DPS/Nuker prioritizes Crit Chance, Crit Damage, Attack, and Speed.
- Bruiser values balanced offense and bulk with speed.
- Tank emphasizes HP, DEF, Effect Resistance, and Speed.
- Support/Cleanser focuses Speed, ER, and survivability.
- Debuffer/Control favors Speed, Effectiveness, and enough bulk.
Practical gearing workflow
1) Roll with intention
Before upgrading, decide the target hero class. A random mixed-stat piece can have decent GS but still be unusable if it does not match a real build path.
2) Cut losses early
If a piece misses key breakpoints by +6 or +9, stop. Gold efficiency is as important as luck in long-term account growth.
3) Keep niche pieces
Some low-score pieces with extreme speed or high effectiveness are excellent for openers and control heroes. Do not auto-sell only by total GS.
Final thoughts
A strong Epic Seven account is built on consistent decision quality, not one lucky drop. Use this calculator to quickly assess value, project potential, and sort gear into clear categories: roll, hold, or sell. Over time, that discipline is what turns chaotic inventory into a roster of fast, tuned, high-impact builds.
