How the line math works
Board model
The tool uses the standard 4x4 sticker grid and evaluates all 10 possible lines:
- 4 horizontal lines
- 4 vertical lines
- 2 diagonal lines
A line counts as complete when all 4 cells in that line contain stickers.
Probability model
If you currently have k stickers and you set a target of n stickers, the calculator considers every combination of placing the remaining n - k stickers into empty squares. It then counts how many lines each possible final board has and returns:
- Chance of each exact line count
- Expected line value
- Chance to improve from your current board
- Best possible line count from your current position
How to use it efficiently

- Leave target stickers at 9 (or set a different value if needed).

Practical strategy tips
Before your final stickers
If your board has poor alignment potential, this is where probability helps most. A board that “looks close” is not always the best mathematically; sometimes another arrangement has higher odds of at least one line.
At 7 stickers (shuffle decision zone)
Many players evaluate whether to shuffle at 7 stickers if they can. While this calculator does not automate the in-game Second Chance system directly, it gives you the exact line potential of your current layout so you can make a cleaner keep-or-shuffle decision.
When to lock in
If your chance of improving is very low and your current line reward is already acceptable, finishing the book may be the better time-value choice.
