FGO Summon Odds & Saint Quartz Planner

Estimate your rolls, expected copies, and probability of pulling your target rate-up Servant.

How to Use This FGO Calculator

This calculator is built for Fate/Grand Order players who want to plan summoning sessions before committing Saint Quartz. Enter your Quartz, tickets, banner rate, and desired copies. The tool instantly estimates:

  • Total summons you can perform
  • Expected number of target copies
  • Chance of getting at least 1 copy
  • Chance of getting your desired number of copies
  • Approximate rolls and SQ needed to hit a confidence target (like 80% or 90%)

What This Calculator Assumes

1) Independent Pulls

Each pull is treated as an independent event with the same probability of success. If your rate-up chance is 0.8%, then every roll has a 0.008 probability of success.

2) 11-Roll Efficiency

The calculator uses FGO’s standard conversion: 30 SQ = 11 pulls. Any leftover SQ is converted to single pulls at 3 SQ = 1 pull.

3) Probability, Not Guarantees

Even “high” odds can fail in practice. Randomness can be brutal. This tool helps you plan better, but no calculator can force a lucky outcome.

Understanding the Numbers

Expected Copies

Expected value is the long-run average from repeating the same session many times. If the calculator says your expected copies are 1.6, that does not mean you will get exactly 1 or 2. It means your long-term average across many identical attempts is 1.6.

At Least One Copy vs. Multiple Copies

Getting at least one copy is much easier than getting NP2+ or NP5. As desired copies go up, the pull count for the same confidence rises sharply. This is why setting realistic summon goals is so important.

Example Planning Workflow

  • Set your actual resources (SQ and tickets).
  • Use 0.8% for a typical SSR rate-up target, or adjust to the banner you are rolling.
  • Start with desired copies = 1 to see baseline risk.
  • Raise desired copies to 2 or 3 and compare the confidence drop.
  • Use the target confidence field to estimate how much more SQ you should save.

Practical FGO Summoning Tips

Save for Priority Targets

Spreading Quartz across many banners usually lowers your chance of landing any specific Servant. If a unit is a must-have, concentrate your resources on that banner.

Define a Hard Stop

Decide your max SQ before rolling. A pre-set spending cap prevents tilt rolls and helps preserve resources for future banners.

Track Your Results

Keep simple notes: SQ spent, tickets used, copies obtained. Over time, this gives you realistic expectations and better budget discipline.

FAQ

Does this include every server-specific mechanic?

No. This is a clean probability model for planning and comparison. Check in-game details for current pity rules, paid banners, and special campaign effects.

Can I use this for SR rate-up units?

Yes. Just change the per-pull rate to match the unit you are targeting.

Why can unlucky streaks still happen?

Because random sequences can cluster. Probability controls long-run behavior, not short-term certainty. This calculator helps you understand risk, not eliminate it.
