Player Rating Calculator
Enter your player's key stats to estimate overall rating, tier, and next-season projection.
How this FIFA stats calculator works
This calculator estimates a player's overall rating by combining the six core outfield attributes: pace, shooting, passing, dribbling, defending, and physical. Because different positions value stats differently, each role uses a custom weighting model. For example, strikers rely more on shooting and pace, while center backs rely heavily on defending and physicality.
On top of core attributes, weak foot and skill moves add a technical bonus that reflects how usable and versatile a player feels in real gameplay. Finally, the calculator applies an age-based projection so you can estimate whether a player is likely to improve, plateau, or decline next season.
Why position-based weighting matters
Attackers
In attacking roles, explosive pace, finishing quality, and dribbling control strongly affect match outcomes. A winger with elite dribbling can create high-value chances even if their defending is low. That is why this model leans heavily into offensive attributes for ST, LW, and RW profiles.
Midfielders
Midfield players need balanced tools. Passing and dribbling influence ball progression, while physical and defending become more important in deeper roles like CDM. The CM/CDM profiles in this calculator use more even distributions than striker and center-back profiles.
Defenders
Defenders win with positioning, tackling reliability, and strength. A center back with high defending and physical can still rate well even without standout shooting. Fullbacks, however, need more pace and crossing ability, so they get a hybrid weighting between defensive and attacking traits.
Tips for using the calculator in squad building
- Compare players within the same position profile for fair results.
- Use projected rating to identify high-upside younger cards for Career Mode.
- Prioritize weak foot and skill moves for attackers and creators.
- Do not ignore physical stats for midfield battles and defensive duels.
- Use this as a guide, then validate in-game with your play style and tactics.
Interpreting your result
The output includes four practical values: estimated overall, card tier, projected next-season overall, and a rough market value index. The market value is not tied to live transfer data; it is a heuristic to help you quickly compare two options when building lineups or planning upgrades.
If a player's rating seems lower than expected, look at the position fit first. A stats profile that is elite for one role can be average in another. For instance, a technically gifted CAM might underperform as a CDM because the defensive weighting changes dramatically.
Frequently asked questions
Is this calculator official?
No. It is an independent, fan-made model intended for analysis and fun.
Can I use this for EA FC cards?
Yes. The model works for modern FIFA-style attribute systems, including current EA FC outfield players. You can use card stats directly from in-game screens or public databases.
Does chemistry affect this score?
Not directly in this version. Chemistry styles and team links can change in-game performance, so treat this output as a base comparison before chemistry modifiers.
