A Go calculator is a fast way to compute the final result of a Go game once both players agree the board is settled. Instead of manually adding territory, captures, komi, and (in some rulesets) stones on board, you can enter the numbers and get a clean final margin immediately.

How This Calculator Works

1) Choose a Scoring System

Go has multiple rulesets, but two of the most common are:

• Japanese (Territory) scoring: territory + prisoners, with komi added to White.
• Chinese (Area) scoring: territory + stones on board, with komi added to White.

2) Enter the Required Values

The calculator changes fields based on your scoring selection:

• For Japanese scoring, enter territory and prisoners captured by each side.
