hattrick tsi calculator

TSI Growth Estimator

Use this calculator to estimate how a player’s Total Skill Index (TSI) may develop over the next few weeks based on training conditions.

Note: This is an estimate for planning purposes. Actual Hattrick TSI changes vary with hidden factors, training type, and player profile.

What is TSI in Hattrick?

TSI (Total Skill Index) is one of the fastest ways to gauge a player’s overall development in Hattrick. It is not a direct skill value by itself, but it reflects a player’s condition and football ability profile. Managers often use TSI trends to monitor whether training plans are working week to week.

If you are building trainees for profit, promoting youth players, or evaluating transfer market targets, TSI can serve as a quick signal. A rising TSI usually means progress, while flat or falling values may indicate age-related decline, poor training conditions, or tactical role mismatch.

How this Hattrick TSI calculator works

This tool estimates future TSI by applying a weekly growth model to your current value. It combines several factors that managers commonly consider:

  • Age curve: younger players typically improve faster.
  • Training intensity: lower intensity generally slows growth.
  • Coach quality and assistants: better staff can improve outcomes.
  • Form: match condition and player state can influence TSI visibility.
  • Stamina share: more stamina training can reduce pure skill gain pace.

The result gives you an estimated weekly effective growth rate, projected final TSI, and expected increase over your selected period.

Input guide: what each field means

Current TSI

Enter the player’s latest known TSI value. The projection compounds growth from this starting point.

Player age and weeks

Age is critical because development speed changes as players get older. Weeks lets you model short-term and medium-term planning—perfect for deciding when to sell trainees.

Base weekly training gain (%)

This is your expected growth under “neutral” conditions. If you are unsure, start between 1.5% and 3.0% for developing players and adjust based on your historical data.

Training setup fields

  • Training intensity: higher usually means faster progress.
  • Coach skill: stronger coaches generally improve training quality.
  • Assistant coaches: support staff can boost effectiveness.
  • Form level: better form tends to support stronger TSI readings.
  • Stamina share: useful for match fitness, but can reduce technical growth speed.

Practical example

Suppose you have a 19-year-old trainee at 5,000 TSI with full training intensity, a solid coach setup, and moderate stamina share. Running an 8-week projection may show a strong upward trend. That gives you a clearer answer to common strategic questions:

  • Should I hold this trainee two more updates before selling?
  • Will this player likely cross a transfer-market-friendly TSI threshold?
  • Is my current coach-and-assistant spend producing enough return?

Using TSI properly in squad planning

TSI is useful, but it should not be your only metric. Good managers combine TSI with wage trends, match ratings, skill pops, specialty value, age, and transfer timing. A player with lower TSI can still outperform expectations if his key skills match your tactic.

For transfer decisions, use this calculator to run multiple scenarios:

  • Current setup vs. improved coach
  • Lower stamina share vs. higher stamina share
  • Sell now vs. sell after 4 to 8 weeks of additional training

Limitations and best practices

This calculator is intentionally lightweight and easy to use. Because Hattrick includes hidden variables and training nuances by position and skill type, projections are estimates—not guarantees.

  • Track real weekly TSI updates and recalibrate your base gain.
  • Use separate assumptions for different training blocks.
  • Compare projected value with market behavior, not just raw TSI.

In short: use the tool for direction, then refine with your club’s real data.
