HSR Warp Pity Calculator
Estimate your odds on limited Character or Light Cone banners using current pity, guarantee status, and available pulls.
What this Honkai: Star Rail pity calculator does
This tool estimates your pull probabilities for limited banners in Honkai: Star Rail. It combines:
- Your current pity count
- Whether your next 5★ is guaranteed featured
- Your available pulls from Stellar Jades and passes
- Banner-specific hard pity and featured rates
Instead of guessing whether you are “safe,” you can see practical numbers before spending.
HSR pity basics (quick refresher)
Limited Character Warp
- 5★ hard pity at 90 pulls
- Base 5★ rate starts low, then rises sharply in soft pity
- When a 5★ appears: 50% featured / 50% standard
- If you lose, the next 5★ is guaranteed featured
Limited Light Cone Warp
- 5★ hard pity at 80 pulls
- Higher featured chance on 5★ than character banners
- When a 5★ appears: 75% featured / 25% non-featured
- If you lose, your next 5★ is guaranteed featured
| Banner | Hard Pity | Featured Chance on Non-Guaranteed 5★ | Guaranteed After Loss? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Limited Character | 90 | 50% | Yes |
| Limited Light Cone | 80 | 75% | Yes |
How to use this calculator correctly
- Select your active banner type.
- Enter your current pity (pulls since last 5★ on that banner type).
- Set guarantee status based on your previous 5★ result.
- Add Stellar Jades, Special Passes, and extra pulls you expect.
- Click Calculate Odds.
The result panel shows your total pulls, chance to get at least one 5★, chance to get the featured target, and benchmark pull counts for 50% and 90% success.
How to interpret your results
If your featured chance is below 50%
You are still in risky territory. If the unit is a must-have, consider whether you can save for the rerun or gather more pulls before the banner ends.
If your featured chance is around 70% to 90%
You are in a strong position, but not guaranteed. If you are not guaranteed yet, a lost coin flip can still happen.
If you can cover worst-case
Worst-case means losing the first featured check and then going to hard pity again. If your pull count reaches that line, you are functionally safe for one copy.
Practical pull-planning tips
- Track pity and guarantee separately for Character and Light Cone banners.
- Convert only enough Jades to pull when needed; keep planning flexibility.
- When undecided between two upcoming banners, compare odds side by side first.
- If you are low pity and unguaranteed, evaluate whether waiting adds more value.
FAQ
Does this include 4★ pity math?
No. This page focuses on 5★ pity and featured-target probability, which is usually the key planning concern.
Is this an official HoYoverse tool?
No. It is a community-style planning calculator using known banner mechanics and pity assumptions.
Are probabilities exact?
The featured probability is computed with a pull-by-pull state model (including guarantee carry), while soft-pity growth is represented with a practical curve approximation.
Note: Always verify your own in-game pity history and guarantee status before making spending decisions.
