Pokémon Quest IV Estimator
Pokémon Quest does not show traditional IVs, so this tool estimates your hidden stat quality by comparing your Pokémon's observed stats against the known minimum and maximum range for that species and level.
Observed Stats (from your Pokémon)
Expected Species Range at This Level
How IVs Work in Pokémon Quest
In the mainline Pokémon games, IVs are fixed hidden values from 0 to 31. In Pokémon Quest, the system is different: your Pokémon's battle performance comes from species stats, level growth, stone slots, move setup, and hidden roll variance. Because of that, most players use the term “IV” in Quest to mean how high your Pokémon rolled inside its possible stat range.
This page helps you calculate that quality as a percentage. If your adjusted HP or ATK is close to the top end of the expected range, your Pokémon is usually worth keeping for harder expeditions.
How to Use This IV Calculator
- Enter your Pokémon's observed HP and ATK.
- Subtract any power stone or temporary buffs shown in those totals.
- Enter the minimum and maximum expected HP/ATK for that exact species and level.
- Click Calculate IV Quality.
The calculator returns three values: HP quality, ATK quality, and an overall score. This lets you compare multiple catches of the same species quickly.
Where to Get Min/Max Ranges
Use your trusted Pokémon Quest stat sheet, community database, or tested in-game values for that species and level. The key is consistency: if your source assumes no stones and no temporary boosts, your observed values should also be adjusted the same way.
Interpreting Your Result
- 90%+ (Elite): Excellent roll, usually endgame worthy.
- 75–89% (Great): Strong and very usable.
- 50–74% (Good): Solid early/mid progression option.
- Below 50% (Low): Often replaceable unless move slots/bingos are perfect.
Remember that move quality and bingo bonuses can matter more than raw stat roll in many teams. A “great” roll with ideal move setup may outperform an “elite” roll with poor synergy.
Practical Team-Building Tips
1) Keep context in mind
Tank Pokémon prefer high HP quality, while glass-cannon attackers may care more about ATK quality. Compare the two values separately before deciding what to evolve or train.
2) Don’t ignore move slots
Three shared slots can limit your build, while spread slots offer better customization. Stat quality is important, but slot structure can change an entire set’s viability.
3) Re-check after leveling plans
If your source table includes level-based ranges, re-evaluate candidates at target levels (for example, 70 or 100) before spending PM Tickets or training resources.
FAQ
Does Pokémon Quest have true 0–31 IVs?
No. Players still call hidden quality “IV” for convenience, but Quest uses a different internal stat model.
Why does my score go above 100% or below 0%?
That usually means one of the following: buffs weren’t subtracted correctly, the min/max range is from a different level/source, or the observed stat includes bonuses the table does not include.
Can this tool replace species guides?
Not fully. It is a fast evaluator. For optimization, still combine this with move, bingo, stone slot, and expedition strategy guides.
