Pokémon Scarlet IV Calculator
Estimate an IV for one stat at a time using your Pokémon's level, base stat, EVs, nature, and observed stat value.
How this Scarlet IV calculator works
In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, every stat has an Individual Value (IV) from 0 to 31. A higher IV means higher final stats, which matters for raids, ranked battles, and efficient team building. This calculator reverse-engineers the stat formula to find all IV values that could produce your observed number.
For non-HP stats, the game uses: floor((floor(((2×Base + IV + floor(EV/4)) × Level) / 100) + 5) × Nature). For HP, the formula is: floor(((2×Base + IV + floor(EV/4)) × Level) / 100) + Level + 10.
What to enter for accurate results
- Level: Your Pokémon's current level.
- Base Stat: The species base value for that specific stat (e.g., Speed, Attack).
- Observed Stat: The exact stat number shown in your summary screen.
- EVs: EV investment in that one stat, from 0 to 252.
- Nature Modifier: 1.1 if boosted, 0.9 if reduced, 1.0 if neutral.

Scarlet breeding and optimization tips
1) Use Destiny Knot for inheritance
Destiny Knot passes down five combined IVs from both parents, making it easier to build competitive offspring quickly.
2) Control nature with Everstone
If one parent holds Everstone, its nature is inherited. This helps align your expected 1.1/0.9 modifier with your planned spread.
3) Hyper Training is battle-effective, not breeding inheritance
Hyper Training makes stats perform as if they were perfect in battle calculations, but it does not change the inherited breeding IV. If you are breeding, use true IV parents whenever possible.
Common mistakes when using an IV calculator
- Entering total EVs instead of EVs for the specific stat.
- Forgetting that HP ignores nature.
- Using the wrong base stat for the selected Pokémon form.
- Estimating from level 50 and expecting a single exact IV.
- Confusing "Best" with Hyper Trained labels.
Quick workflow for practical use
- Open your Pokémon summary and note one stat.
- Check species base stat from a reliable Pokédex resource.
- Enter level, base stat, EV, nature, and observed stat in this tool.
- Add Judge hint to narrow possibilities instantly.
- Repeat for each stat to map a complete IV spread.
FAQ
Can this calculator find exact IVs at level 50?
Sometimes yes, but often you'll get a range. That's normal. Higher levels provide finer resolution.
Does this work for raid-caught Pokémon in Scarlet?
Yes. As long as your base stat, EVs, level, and observed stat are correct, the formula is the same.
Why does my result show no possible IVs?
Usually one input is off: incorrect base stat, EV estimate, nature, or a mistaken Judge filter.
If you want the best accuracy, collect stats at level 100 and record EVs precisely. With that, this Scarlet IV calculator becomes a dependable way to evaluate catches, plan breeding projects, and optimize teams for high-level play.
