Single Ticket quick rule of thumb
For many central-city trips, the single fare is typically between €1.50 and €2.00 depending on station count. If your route is short and your trip count is low, this can be perfectly fine. But the cost adds up quickly when you are riding multiple times each day.
Airport supplement matters
If you use metro stations at Madrid airport, an extra supplement is generally charged per one-way airport trip (the calculator assumes €3.00). For travelers arriving and departing by metro, this line item can noticeably change the final total.
When Metrobús can win
The 10-trip format is usually best for medium usage: too many rides for single tickets, but not enough to justify unlimited daily passes. If your stay is a few days and your plans are predictable, this is often a strong middle-ground.
