metin2 damage calculator

Metin2 PvM Damage Calculator

Enter your stats to estimate expected hit damage and DPS. This tool gives a practical estimate for leveling and farming comparisons.

What this Metin2 damage calculator does

This calculator helps you estimate your expected PvM damage per hit in Metin2 based on common build variables: attack value, skill scaling, average damage, race/monster bonus, criticals, piercing, and target mitigation. It is designed for quick build testing when you are deciding between upgrades such as weapon rolls, alchemy changes, sash value, or bonus swaps.

Formula used in this calculator

1) Build your raw attack packet

We combine Base Attack + Weapon Attack + Flat Attack Bonus, then apply your skill bonus:

Raw Skill Hit = (Base + Weapon + Flat) × (1 + Skill%/100)

2) Apply target mitigation

A normal hit is reduced by target defense and then by resistance. A piercing hit ignores defense in this model, but still goes through resistance.

3) Mix in piercing chance

We compute expected pre-bonus damage using your piercing chance:

Expected Pre-Bonus = NormalHit × (1 - PierceRate) + PiercingHit × PierceRate

4) Apply damage amplifiers

Average damage, strong-vs bonus, elemental bonus, and final damage buffs are combined into one multiplier. Then expected critical scaling is applied:

Expected Crit Multiplier = 1 + CritRate × (CritMultiplier - 1)

5) Estimate DPS

Finally, the estimated hit damage is multiplied by your hits-per-second value.

How to use it effectively

  • Test one variable at a time (for example, +10% strong against monsters vs +10% average damage).
  • Set realistic values based on your current map and boss target.
  • Use the same target defense/resistance for fair comparisons.
  • Compare expected DPS, not only max-hit values.

Practical upgrade strategy for farming

Early game

Focus on stable, affordable upgrades: basic weapon attack, moderate average damage, and survivability. Consistency beats peak burst when your clear speed is limited by downtime.

Mid game

Start balancing race bonuses and critical/piercing. At this stage, too much of one stat can show diminishing practical returns if your target stats are unbalanced.

Late game

Optimize around your specific farming route (Metin stones, dungeon bosses, or map-specific monsters). Use the calculator to simulate exact targets and choose your strongest cost-to-damage upgrades.

Limitations and real in-game factors

This tool is intentionally simplified. Real damage can be affected by:

  • Server-specific formulas and balancing patches
  • Level difference modifiers
  • Skill-specific hidden coefficients
  • Class mechanics, buffs/debuffs, and temporary effects
  • PvP rules (which are usually very different from PvM)

FAQ

Is this accurate for every Metin2 server?

No. It is a strong estimation model, but private servers may use different formulas.

Should I prioritize critical or piercing?

It depends on your current stat balance and target defense. Use the calculator with your real numbers; the better option will usually be obvious in expected DPS.

Can I use this for skill-only classes?

Yes. Increase the skill bonus value and set realistic crit/pierce values for your build. The model still works well for comparisons.
