Multiple Bet Calculator
Calculate returns for accumulators and system bets (like doubles, trebles, and 4-folds) using decimal odds.
Tip: Fold size = 2 means all doubles. Fold size = total selections means accumulator/parlay.
Selections
What is a multiple bet?
A multiple bet combines two or more selections into one betting structure. Instead of placing each pick as a single, you build lines that multiply odds together. If your selections win, returns can grow quickly. If they lose, results can drop quickly too. That high-risk/high-reward tradeoff is why a clear calculator is so useful.
Accumulator (Parlay)
An accumulator is one line containing all selections. Every selection must win for the ticket to return anything. Because the odds are multiplied, the potential payout is often much larger than singles.
System bets (Doubles, Trebles, and more)
System bets split your picks into many smaller lines. For example:
- Doubles: every 2-selection combination.
- Trebles: every 3-selection combination.
- 4-fold: every 4-selection combination.
This approach gives you partial coverage. You can still receive a return even if not all selections win, as long as some complete lines are successful.
How this multiple bet calculator works
This tool uses decimal odds and a stake-per-line method:
- You enter your stake for each line.
- You set a fold size (2, 3, 4, etc.).
- The calculator generates every valid combination at that fold size.
- It computes total stake, potential return (if all selections win), and potential profit.
- If you tick winners, it also shows a settled return based on completed winning lines.
Core formula
Line return = stake per line × (odds1 × odds2 × ... oddsN)
Total ticket return is the sum of all winning line returns. Total ticket stake is the number of lines multiplied by your stake per line.
Example: doubles with four selections
Imagine four picks at decimal odds 1.80, 2.10, 1.65, and 1.90, and a stake of $5 per line. If you choose doubles:
- Number of lines = C(4,2) = 6 doubles
- Total stake = 6 × $5 = $30
- Each double has its own multiplied odds and return
- Final return = sum of all winning doubles
That gives you a more flexible ticket than a 4-fold accumulator, because some lines can still pay if one selection fails.
Why bettors use calculators before placing slips
- Bankroll control: avoid underestimating total stake when line count gets large.
- Risk planning: compare accumulator risk vs system coverage.
- Fast scenario testing: change one odd or fold size and instantly see impact.
- Cleaner records: more consistent pre-bet analysis and post-bet review.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Confusing stake per line with total stake.
- Using the wrong fold size (for example selecting doubles when you intended trebles).
- Ignoring how quickly line count grows with extra selections.
- Chasing payout targets instead of evaluating bet quality.
Responsible betting reminder
Multiple bets can be exciting, but volatility is high. Use a fixed budget, never chase losses, and treat betting as entertainment—not income. If betting stops feeling fun or starts affecting daily life, pause and seek support.
