What is pixel pitch?
Pixel pitch is the physical distance from the center of one pixel to the center of the next pixel, usually measured in millimeters (mm). A smaller pixel pitch means pixels are packed more tightly, which generally makes images and text look sharper at normal viewing distances.
In display buying guides, you will also see PPI (pixels per inch). Pixel pitch and PPI describe the same idea from opposite directions: high PPI means low pixel pitch, and low PPI means high pixel pitch.

Pixel pitch vs. viewing distance
Don’t evaluate pitch in isolation. A display that looks coarse up close may look perfectly smooth from farther away. As a practical rule, larger pixel pitch can still look excellent when viewing distance increases.
