Pokémon GO Evolution Calculator
Estimate how many evolutions you can do, how much XP you'll earn, and how many candies you'll have left after your evolution session.
How to use this PoGo evolution calculator
This calculator helps you plan efficient evolution sessions in Pokémon GO. Enter your current candy, add any expected candy from transfers and catches, and the tool will estimate your total possible evolutions and projected XP.
If you're preparing for an XP grind event, this is especially useful for timing a Lucky Egg and avoiding wasted candy. You can also add a target number of evolutions to see whether you have enough resources.
What the calculator includes
- Candy cost per evolution (preset or custom values)
- Current candy balance for the evolution line
- Transfer candy from extra Pokémon
- Planned catch candy using your expected catch rate
- XP output with optional Lucky Egg multiplier
- Target evolution check with additional candy needed
Evolution planning strategy
1) Build candy efficiently
Before starting an evolution streak, clean your storage and transfer duplicates. If you're farming one species, stack catches and use Pinap Berries when possible to push candy gain higher.
2) Time your Lucky Egg windows
Lucky Egg sessions are strongest when you can chain evolutions continuously. Use this calculator to confirm you can sustain the full window. If not, keep catching until you hit your target.
3) Track leftovers and next goals
Leftover candy is not wasted—it's your head start on the next evolution batch. Planning around leftovers helps you avoid over-farming and keeps your item management tighter.
Quick example
Suppose you have 210 candy for a species with a 25-candy evolution cost. You can transfer 15 extra Pokémon and expect 10 catches at 3 candy each. Your total candy becomes:
210 + 15 + (10 × 3) = 255 candy
At 25 candy per evolution, that gives 10 evolutions with 5 candy left. If each evolution gives 1,000 XP, that's 10,000 XP, or 20,000 XP with Lucky Egg.
