How this primogems calculator helps you plan smarter
When a new Genshin Impact banner is announced, the biggest question is usually: “Can I guarantee the character I want?” This primogems calculator is built to answer that quickly. Instead of rough guesses, you can combine your current primogems, fates, and expected future income into one clear estimate of total wishes.
It also includes pity planning so you can see whether you are close to hard pity and whether your account is currently guaranteed on the limited banner. With those two details, your pull strategy becomes much more reliable.
What the calculator includes
- Current currency: primogems, genesis crystals, intertwined fates, and acquaint fates.
- Time-based income: daily primogems, Welkin Moon daily bonus, and event primogems.
- Spiral Abyss estimate: based on average stars per reset and number of resets.
- Extra fates: from Battle Pass, Paimon’s Bargains, and other direct fate rewards.
- Pity analysis: pulls to hard pity and pulls to guaranteed featured 5-star (worst-case).
Quick formula behind the scenes
1) Total primogems
Total primogems are calculated from your current balance plus expected incoming primogems over the saving period:
- Current Primogems + Genesis Crystals
- Daily Primogems × Days Saving
- Welkin Daily Primogems × Days Saving
- Spiral Abyss estimate
- Event Primogems
2) Convert to wishes
Every 160 primogems equals one wish. The calculator converts total primogems into pulls, then adds your Intertwined Fates to get total limited-banner wishes.
3) Compare with your goal
If your goal is 90 pulls, you are targeting one hard pity cycle. If your goal is 180 pulls, you are planning for a full worst-case guarantee from zero pity and no guarantee state.
Pity and guarantee explained simply
For event character banners:
- Hard pity is at 90 pulls.
- If you lose 50/50, your next 5-star is guaranteed featured.
- Worst-case full guarantee is 180 pulls from zero pity and no guarantee.
This calculator assumes worst-case for guarantee planning. That makes it conservative and safer for long-term savings.
Ways to increase primogem income faster
Daily and weekly consistency
- Complete daily commissions every day.
- Use your resin and finish events on time to avoid missed rewards.
- Do weekly tasks tied to Battle Pass progression.
Patch-cycle opportunities
- Spiral Abyss clears can provide a steady source of primogems each reset.
- Web events and in-game event chains often add meaningful extras.
- New regions, achievements, and exploration can create large one-time boosts.
Budget optimization
If you spend lightly, Welkin Moon has one of the strongest value-per-dollar conversions. Entering a realistic daily number in the calculator helps prevent overestimating your future pulls.
Common mistakes this tool helps avoid
- Ignoring pity state: two players with the same wishes can have very different odds depending on pity.
- Overestimating events: not every patch gives identical primogem totals.
- Forgetting leftovers: leftover primogems after conversion matter for future planning.
- Mixing fates: Acquaint Fates do not help with limited character banners.
Final planning tip
Use this primogems calculator at the start of each banner and again midway through the patch. Updating your numbers regularly helps you decide whether to keep saving, go for constellations, or hold for the next character. Small planning discipline over time can dramatically improve your account progress.
