How the calculations work
1) Sidewall height
Sidewall height is calculated from tire width and aspect ratio:
- Sidewall (mm) = Tire Width × (Aspect Ratio ÷ 100)
2) Overall tire diameter
Overall diameter combines rim diameter with two sidewalls:
- Overall Diameter (mm) = (Rim Diameter × 25.4) + 2 × Sidewall Height
- Overall Diameter (in) = Overall Diameter (mm) ÷ 25.4
3) Circumference and revolutions
- Circumference = π × Overall Diameter
