What this Persona 5 calculator does

This page gives you a practical set of tools for day-to-day Persona management in Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal. Instead of tabbing between notes, spreadsheets, and fusion charts, you can quickly estimate fusion outcomes, Gallows growth, and whether your final stats match your intended build.

  • Fast fusion base level math for normal two-Persona fusion planning.
  • Reverse planning if you already know the level range you want.
  • Gallows XP projection to avoid overfeeding or wasting resources.
  • Stat spread analysis so your Personas stay aligned with your battle role.

Fusion level formula explained

Normal fusion baseline

For standard two-Persona fusion, a common planning rule is: Result Base Level = floor((L1 + L2) / 2) + 1. This calculator uses that rule for quick estimation.

Arcana outcomes, DLC interactions, Treasure Demon behavior, and special fusions can alter exact in-game results, but this baseline is still very useful for understanding whether your parent levels are in the right zone before you spend money in the Velvet Room.

Reverse planning

If you need a specific base level range, reverse planning helps immediately. For a target base level T, your parent levels should have a combined total near 2 × (T − 1). You can then mix parent levels however you like (for example, one high-level parent with one lower-level parent) to hit that sum.

How to use the Gallows calculator

Gallows strengthening can power-level a Persona quickly, but players often misjudge how far a single sacrifice will go. The calculator asks for your current XP state, estimated XP requirement, and XP gained from sacrifice, then projects your new level and remaining XP.

  • Set your current level and XP progress.
  • Enter XP needed for your next level.
  • Add the XP your sacrifice provides.
  • Adjust growth rate if your next levels get more expensive faster or slower.

Using stat spread analysis for better builds

Magic build signs

If Magic significantly outpaces Strength, your Persona is likely best for elemental or Almighty pressure. Prioritize passives and trait choices that improve spell efficiency, damage cap consistency, or SP sustain.

Physical build signs

If Strength leads by a strong margin, your Persona likely performs best as a physical crit or heavy-strike specialist. In that case, Agility and Luck often become key support stats for hit consistency and crit utility.

Balanced builds

Balanced stat lines are useful for flexible coverage, especially when you need one Persona to handle support, buffs, and backup damage. They are less explosive than specialized builds but excellent for long palace runs.

Quick optimization tips

  • Plan fusion level first, then optimize skills. Efficient level targeting saves money.
  • Use Gallows after locking in your core skills to avoid replacing the wrong Persona.
  • Keep one dedicated support Persona even if your offense Personas are highly specialized.
  • Track stat direction early so your endgame build does not drift off-role.

Final note

This calculator is a planning companion designed for speed and clarity. It focuses on high-value calculations you use constantly while preparing for bosses, Mementos farming, or late-game optimization. Pair it with your preferred fusion chart for arcana-specific routing and you will save a lot of trial and error.
