Revolut Fee Calculator
Estimate fees for currency exchange, ATM withdrawals, and international transfers based on your plan and usage.
This is an educational estimator, not official pricing. Real charges can vary by corridor, currency, local ATM operator, and your latest Revolut terms.
What this Revolut fee calculator helps you estimate
If you use Revolut regularly, small fees can be easy to miss. This calculator gives you a quick estimate before you exchange currency, withdraw cash, or send an international transfer. The goal is simple: make hidden costs visible before you tap “confirm.”
The tool is especially useful when you are near a monthly allowance limit. On many plans, fees kick in only after you pass a threshold. That means timing and transaction size matter more than people expect.
How Revolut fees usually work
1) Currency exchange fees
Most plans include a monthly amount of exchange at the interbank rate, then apply a markup above that limit. In addition, weekend markups can apply because FX markets are closed and providers price in risk.
- Standard: lower free FX allowance, then higher markup above limit.
- Plus: slightly better allowance and reduced markup.
- Premium/Metal/Ultra: typically larger or unlimited allowances for basic exchange.
2) ATM withdrawal fees
ATM rules often have two layers: a monthly free withdrawal allowance and a fee once you exceed it. Even if Revolut doesn’t add much, some ATM operators may apply their own separate surcharge. This calculator estimates the Revolut side only.
3) International transfer fees
Transfer costs can include a transfer service fee and, when relevant, an FX conversion fee. The calculator models both so you can compare a transfer that needs conversion vs one that does not.
How to use the calculator correctly
- Select the fee type (exchange, ATM, or transfer).
- Pick your plan and display currency.
- Enter the transaction amount.
- Enter how much of that allowance category you already used this month.
- For FX situations, set weekend and pair type.
- Click Calculate Fee to see a full breakdown.
Assumptions used in this estimator
To keep this tool practical, it uses a transparent estimate model:
- FX above-limit markups: Standard 1.0%, Plus 0.5%, Premium+ 0.0%.
- Weekend markup: 1% for major pairs, 2% for exotic pairs.
- ATM over-limit fee: percentage-based with a minimum fee.
- Transfer fee: small percentage with a minimum, varies by plan in this model.
Actual terms can change, so always verify in-app before making large transactions.
Tips to reduce Revolut fees
- Exchange larger amounts during weekdays instead of weekends.
- Track monthly usage so you do not accidentally cross allowance limits.
- Prefer major currency pairs when possible for lower weekend markup risk.
- Batch transfers strategically rather than making many small transfers.
- Check whether the recipient can accept local-currency payments to avoid extra conversion.
