arcana calculator

We calculate a Life Arcana from your birth date and a Personal Year Arcana for your chosen year.

What Is an Arcana Calculator?

An Arcana Calculator is a numerology-style tool inspired by the 22 Major Arcana in tarot. It takes your birth date, reduces it using simple digit sums, and maps the final number to an Arcana archetype (such as The Magician, The Hermit, or The Sun).

Think of it as a structured reflection exercise. Instead of predicting the future, it gives you a symbolic lens for journaling, planning, and personal growth.

How This Calculator Works

1) Life Arcana

Your Life Arcana is calculated by adding the digits of your birth year, month, and day, then reducing until the result is between 1 and 22.

  • Example birth date: 1993-10-28
  • Digits: (1+9+9+3) + (1+0) + (2+8) = 33
  • Reduce: 3+3 = 6 → Arcana 6 (The Lovers)

2) Personal Year Arcana

Your Personal Year Arcana helps frame your chosen year. We add the digits of your birth month/day and focus year, then reduce to 1–22.

  • Useful for yearly themes, goals, and mindset resets
  • Great for annual planning sessions and review rituals

How to Use Your Result in Real Life

Once you have your Arcana numbers, use them as prompts. You do not have to “believe” in tarot for this to be practical. The value comes from intentional reflection.

  • For goal setting: Let your Personal Year Arcana shape your yearly priority.
  • For journaling: Write about the card’s strengths and shadows in your current season.
  • For decision making: Ask, “What would this archetype do next?”
  • For self-awareness: Identify recurring patterns you want to reinforce or release.

Sample Reflection Questions

  • Where do I need stronger focus and discipline?
  • What distractions are pulling me off course?

If you get Temperance (14)

  • What would balance look like in my weekly schedule?
  • Where can I combine patience with consistent action?
